Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they approach the front counter, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient service
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards, including basic food handling and preparation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments with POS systems
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Assist with food prep tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
- Experience in serving or cashiering roles within the food industry or grocery store settings is highly desirable
