The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Paralegal to report directly to the General Counsel. The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter with excellent time management skills who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can contribute, both as a paralegal and a legal operations specialist, to LeafLink’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Providing a wide variety of project management, administrative and operational support for the Legal team’s daily operations
- Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of non-disclosure, marketing-related and standard, general corporate agreements
- Managing corporate requirements for LeafLink’s subsidiaries, including maintaining and adhering to corporate filing calendars, preparing annual reports, d/b/a filings, officer changes & assessment, and filing for foreign qualification
- Sourcing and implementing a contract management system and organizing & maintaining company-wide legal documents in such system
- Driving the implementation and continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal/organizational processes
- Liaising with business teams and outside regulatory counsel to understand & support the regulatory & licensing regime in which LeafLink operates
- Maintaining LeafLink’s product and service terms and conditions, keeping up to date with new developments
Who You Are
- Working proactively, collaboratively, and maintaining excellent customer service in a professional environment
- Ability to work quickly and independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and interpreting non-disclosure and other agreements
- Contract management software and/or other legal administrative software experience
- Experience preparing annual reports and other corporate filings with state regulatory bodies
- Successful management of a diverse scope of matters, issues, and projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the desire and ability to develop productive and collaborative working relationships with multiple stakeholders across LeafLink
- Prior experience in rapidly scaling organizations, including managing demanding timelines from multiple business stakeholders
- At least 3 years of relevant paralegal or legal operations experience, including prior in-house experience
- Excellent judgment and communication and organizational skills
