About the Role
The Director of Creative is a hands-on, player-coach leader responsible for building and operating a high-performance, performance-driven creative function. This role leads, mentors, and develops the internal creative team while actively reviewing and supporting execution to ensure speed, quality, and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Creative Strategy & Execution
- Oversee the production and rapid iteration of high-impact assets across paid social (including Meta), CTV, YouTube, and direct mail.
- Review and approve high-priority creative to ensure alignment with performance KPIs and premium brand standards.
- Partner with channel leads to translate performance data into actionable creative hypotheses and testing roadmaps.
- Ensure all direct-response creative balances brand integrity with conversion performance.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing creative team.
- Establish clear quality standards, accountability expectations, and collaboration norms.
- Assign projects based on team strengths, workload capacity, and business priorities to maintain balanced output and high-quality deliverables.
- Creative Operations & Agile Workflow
- Partner with the Head of Brand Marketing to build and scale a best-in-class performance creative engine.
- Implement Agile marketing best practices (sprints, rapid test-and-learn cycles, iterative loops).
- Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure creative concepts are technically feasible, scalable, and delivered on schedule.
- Work with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to prioritize high-value initiatives aligned to evolving business needs.
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Align creative storytelling with product marketing and channel strategies to support lead generation.
- Ensure performance insights are embedded into creative development cycles.
- Manage relationships with external agencies while strengthening internal creative capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10 years of experience in creative leadership roles within performance marketing or high-growth environments.
- Proven track record of building or scaling creative teams and defining workflows.
- Deep understanding of Agile marketing methodologies.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of conversion-led design, short-form video, and digital performance ecosystems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
Required Skills
- Experience in Home Services or Lead Generation industries.
- Experience leading TV production (DRTV, linear, and CTV) from concept through post-production.
- Experience managing external agencies while building internal creative capabilities.
- Portfolio demonstrating high-velocity creative testing and measurable ROI.
- Ability to effectively balance brand-building with direct-response performance objectives.
Preferred Skills
- Travel Requirements: 25% Travel
- Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements: Additional and non-standard hours may be required (exempt).
- Physical Requirements: Standing Occasionally (11-33%), Walking Occasionally (11-33%).
