Duties
- Design and create custom floral arrangements for events, holidays, and everyday occasions using fresh flowers and greenery
- Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related merchandise to meet their needs and preferences
- Maintain the floral display area by stocking fresh flowers, arranging merchandise attractively, and ensuring cleanliness
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, handle cash and card payments accurately, and process receipts
- Identify various plants and flowers to provide expert advice on care, maintenance, and suitability for different environments
- Support landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care and gardening to enhance the overall appearance of the outdoor retail space
- Engage in merchandising efforts by organizing stock, managing inventory levels, and ensuring proper signage for products
Skills
- Proven experience in floral design or related outdoor work such as gardening or landscape maintenance
- Strong knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, and floral arrangement techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and cashiering procedures
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone or face-to-face interactions
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels efficiently and maintain an attractive retail environment
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online sales or order management is advantageous
