Senior SEO Specialist

Position Summary

The Senior SEO Specialist is a key driver of client growth at Leads Near Me, leading the development and execution of local SEO strategies for independent auto repair shops across North America. This role combines deep technical SEO expertise with strategic thinking and the ability to mentor and elevate others on the team.

The Senior SEO Specialist is expected to set the standard for SEO quality, guide junior team members, and serve as an internal authority on search strategy and best practices.

This is an in-office position located in Duluth, GA. Remote work is not available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and execute comprehensive local SEO strategies tailored to client growth goals.
• Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and backlink evaluations to inform strategy.
• Perform technical and on-page SEO audits; track keyword rankings, analyze website traffic, and identify optimization opportunities.
• Build and manage Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization strategies, including citation building and local presence management.
• Write and optimize website and blog content for engagement, local relevance, and conversions.
• Collaborate with internal content, development, and design teams to implement SEO strategies efficiently.
• Monitor algorithm updates and industry trends; proactively test and implement new SEO tactics.

Senior-Level Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal SEO subject matter expert and a resource for the broader team.
• Coach and mentor junior SEO team members — providing feedback, guidance, and hands-on support to develop their skills.
• Conduct peer reviews of SEO strategies, audits, and deliverables to uphold quality standards.
• Contribute to the development of internal SOPs, SEO frameworks, and best practice documentation.
• Assist department leadership in prioritizing team workloads and identifying process improvements.
• Represent the SEO department in cross-functional planning discussions when needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Experience: 5 years of SEO experience, with agency or local SEO experience required.
• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
• Google Search Console (GSC)
• SEMrush or comparable SEO platforms (Ahrefs, Moz)
• Google Business Profile (GBP)
• WordPress and Elementor

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep expertise in local SEO, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and link building.
• Strong understanding of Google Business Profile and local search ranking factors.
• Ability to interpret data and translate it into clear, actionable strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to clients.
• Experience coaching or mentoring others in a professional setting.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-directed and accountable — capable of managing priorities without hand-holding.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Genuine interest in helping independent shop owners grow their businesses.

Work Schedule and Environment

• Standard 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday.
• Full-time, in-office role based in Duluth, GA.
• Must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to starting work.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual Salary: $72,000-$75,000
