Practice Manager - Medical Practice Operation

LeaderStat is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations, financial performance, staffing, and patient experience of an established medical practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare operations professional with strong leadership skills and experience managing clinical and administrative teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in medical practice management, revenue cycle operations, budgeting, physician relations, and staff development. This individual will play a key role in improving operational efficiency, supporting practice growth, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Compensation & Position Details

• Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually, based on education and experience
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Practice Operations & Leadership

• Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations to ensure efficient practice performance.
• Manage patient flow, physician scheduling, front office operations, and patient satisfaction.
• Develop and implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and patient volume.
• Collaborate with physicians and senior leadership to achieve organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, practice policies, and quality standards.

Financial Management

• Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets.
• Oversee revenue cycle management, billing, collections, and accounts receivable.
• Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction.
• Maintain internal financial controls and support financial audits.
• Monitor physician and advanced practice provider productivity and compensation standards.

Staff Management & Development

• Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations for clinical and nonclinical staff.
• Develop staffing strategies that support operational efficiency and patient care needs.
• Manage employee relations, performance improvement, and retention initiatives.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on accountability and professional development.

Quality, Compliance & Patient Experience

• Ensure accurate management of medical records and protection of patient information.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, employment regulations, and applicable healthcare standards.
• Address patient concerns and implement improvements to enhance the overall patient experience.
• Coordinate referral processes, scheduling systems, and clinical workflows.
• Oversee medical supplies and inventory management.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant healthcare or medical practice operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical practice operations, including billing, collections, scheduling, and employee management.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and operational performance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead clinical and administrative teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and executive leadership.

Highly Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Medical Practice Manager, Physician Practice Manager, or Practice Administrator.
• Experience overseeing revenue cycle management, physician productivity, and practice growth initiatives.
