Job Summary

Under supervision of the Superintendent, the Wellness Center Coordinator manages all aspects of the Wellness Center. Facilitate personnel and peer support services for the purpose of increasing access to mental health services for the Leadership Military Academy Wellness Center. Coordinate the integration of disparate services from a variety of funding sources and organizations to unify care coordination and service provision through one centralized program. General services provided virtually and/or on school campuses include but are not limited to: suicide prevention; drop-out prevention; placement assistance; and service planning for students in need of ongoing services; and outreach to high-risk youth, including foster youth, youth who identify as LGBTQ , and youth who have been expelled or suspended from school. The coordinator must work effectively with people representing diverse perspectives and needs, including all genders.

Requirements / Qualifications

Certified Social Worker License (CWW) or Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) MA in Social Work (MSW) and 2 years post-graduate experience preferred. California driver’s license and the ability to travel to other sites and locations throughout the district and county TB and Fingerprint Clearance First Aid, CPR is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Willingness to use school or personnel vehicle in the course of employment. Incumbent may be required to attend periodic evening meetings/events. Incumbent may be required to travel within and out of the area to attend meetings. Performance of position duties/responsibilities is subject to occasional standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, and/or stooping, while performing duties requiring lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, moving, and/or positioning objects weighing up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 25 lbs. occasionally; the position is subject to exercising continuous manual dexterity (i.e., coordinated and/or precise movement of hands, arms and fingers) throughout a work shift to operate computer equipment and peripherals. Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the phone. Ability to maintain physical condition necessary for sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time
