JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lead Quality. Drive Successful Launches.
Leaders Staffing's Direct Hire Division is seeking skilled Quality Engineer for a full-time, permanent, direct hire position with a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier in Allen County. In this role you will support new product launches and ensure compliance with customer and industry quality standards. This role is ideal for someone with experience in APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, and Automotive Quality Core Tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead APQP activities for new product launches
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers during development and launch
- Develop and maintain quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEA, Inspection Standards, and PPAPs
- Coordinate Gauge R&R, Process Capability Studies, and Run-at-Rate activities
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met
- Lead problem-solving and corrective action efforts during launch
- Support DV/PV testing and product validation activities
- Conduct process and product audits
- Submit PPAPs and obtain customer approvals (PSW)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of automotive quality experience OR 7 years of related experience
- Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of:
- APQP
- PPAP
- IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
- PFMEA / DFMEA
- Control Plans
- MSA & Gauge R&R
- Process Capability (Cp/Cpk)
- GD&T
- Process & Product Audits
Preferred Background
Experience in Injection Molding, Plastic Molding, Assembly, Extrusion, Manufacturing Quality, Launch Quality, or Continuous Improvement is a plus.
