Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Assist customers with menu selections, take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process cash or card transactions efficiently.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light menu items following food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, dining spaces, and adhering to food handling protocols.
- Manage retail sales transactions with precision, including cash handling and balancing registers at shift end.
- Provide excellent customer service by serving with enthusiasm, addressing inquiries promptly, and creating a welcoming environment.
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness to ensure quality standards are met.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS effectively.
- Strong knowledge of beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic drink preparation.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests in a fast-paced setting.
