Loan Officer Assistant (Remote)

Position Summary
LeaderOne Financial is seeking an experienced Loan Officer Assistant to support loan officers with day-to-day operations, customer communication, and loan processing coordination.
This role works closely with Loan Officers, Processors, Clients, Realtors, Builders, and third-party vendors. The ideal candidate brings strong time management skills, exceptional communication, attention to detail, and working knowledge of mortgage guidelines.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are required to support our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities
• Support loan officers in managing active loan files
• Communicate regularly with clients, internal teams, and external partners
• Assist with file structuring, documentation, and submission
• Help request, track, and clear loan conditions
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with guidelines
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process

Basic Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)
• Minimum 2 years of mortgage experience (processing, origination, or combination)
• Proficiency in DU/DO and LP
• Working knowledge of investor guidelines
• Experience with Encompass LOS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication (verbal and written)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to complete required regulatory and compliance training

Preferred Qualifications
• NMLS license (strongly preferred but not required at hire)
• 2 years in mortgage loan processing
• Experience analyzing credit, income, and assets
• Knowledge of Fannie Mae, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
• Experience running DU, LP, and GUS
• Ability to stack, submit files, and clear conditions
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
