Unarmed Security Guard

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the property, controlling access points, conducting patrols, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help prevent incidents, respond effectively to emergencies, and maintain compliance with security protocols. Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance systems and physical inspections to identify potential security risks or breaches.
• Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by following established procedures, including performing first aid or CPR if necessary.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity, security breaches, or accidents for record-keeping and future reference.
• Perform background checks on new personnel as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Operate emergency response procedures efficiently during fire alarms, medical emergencies, or other critical situations using AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and other safety equipment.
• Assist law enforcement or emergency services when required, providing support during investigations or crisis management efforts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles, preferably with a background in military or law enforcement environments.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser are highly desirable.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident management.
• Strong skills in conflict de-escalation, conflict management, and customer service to handle challenging situations professionally.
• Familiarity with fire safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent observation skills with the ability to detect suspicious behavior through CCTV monitoring and physical patrols.
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, or perform patrols for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts.
• Commitment to compliance with all security regulations and company policies related to physical security and loss prevention.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
