Job Overview
March Engineering DPC has an opening for an experienced Environmental Professional. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or an advanced degree in Geology or Hydrogeology, or similar, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including 2 years independently managing environmental projects under New York State's Brownfield Cleanup Program or Inactive Hazardous Waste Program.
A Professional Engineering, Professional Geologist, or CHMM license is preferred, but not required. The ability to become a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) under the New York State definition is a bonus.
Requirements
- Knowledgeable about relevant New York State regulatory guidance, including but not limited to NYCRR Part 375 Environmental Remediation Programs, DER-10 Technical Guidance for Investigation and Remediation, and the NYSDOH Guidance for Evaluating Soil Vapor Intrusion
- Experience preparing and implementing site management plans, remedial investigation work plans, remedial alternatives analysis reports, and remedial action work plans
- Excellent technical writing skills for preparing reports and proposals
- Knowledge of ASTM Phase I and Phase II investigations is a plus.
- Currently has or can obtain their HAZWOPER 40-Hour course
Pay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hour
