Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Avaya Voice Engineer located in Columbus, GA. The Avaya Voice Engineer will design, implement, and maintain Avaya communication systems to ensure optimal functionality and performance. Daily responsibilities include configuring, troubleshooting, and upgrading Avaya systems, monitoring overall system health, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve communications infrastructure. The role also involves documenting processes and providing training or support to end users as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Avaya communication systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of voice networking and telecommunication protocols
- Expertise with VoIP technologies and call center applications
- Understanding of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments
- Relevant certifications such as Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) are a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
