An international law firm is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to support its global risk management and professional responsibility function. This role advises attorneys and firm leadership on conflicts of interest and related ethics issues arising from new business intake, lateral hires, and firm operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze conflicts of interest for new matters, clients, and lateral hires
- Advise on conflicts waivers, informed consent, and ethical screens
- Apply ABA Model Rules and applicable state and international ethics standards
- Draft conflicts waivers and internal risk memoranda
- Partner with firm leadership, intake teams, and global offices on risk management matters
Qualifications
- JD and active bar membership in good standing
- 3–8 years of law firm experience (litigation, corporate/M&A, employment, regulatory, or similar)
- Strong judgment, analytical skills, and written communication
- Ability to advise senior attorneys with discretion and professionalism
Preferred
- Prior conflicts, ethics, or risk management experience
- Experience in a multi-office or international firm environment
