JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Team Member Welding Technical Cleaner
Location: Montgomery, AL
Job Type: On-site
Reports to: Facility Manager/Supervisor
Department: North American Operations
Position Purpose: Weld shop cleaning and filter replacement. Demonstrates consistent work and commitment to keeping and area clean and tidy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely at all times.
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely and professionally around moving equipment.
- Consistently arrive on time, fit to work every day as scheduled.
- Support clean-up of equipment and 5S of production areas.
- Clean and replace filters in welding area.
- Clean trash of all types from area, keeping the welding area clean and orderly at all times. Welding area should remain ready for a management walk-through each day.
- Complete tasks in accordance with standardized quality checklists.
- Review current best practices resulting in efficiencies relating to time, material usage, and safety.
- Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment.
- Will use brooms, rakes, and squeegees to push and pull hydraulic oil, cleaners, and scrap sheet metal pieces.
- Live "Safety is Your Life" Program. Use proper personal protective equipment, i.e., hearing protection, long pants and shirts, steel-toed work boots, cut-resistant Kevlar sleeves and gloves, safety glasses, etc., as required for the task at hand.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
- All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

Position Qualifications:
- No previous experience is required.
- Work ethic, integrity, and attendance are the most highly valued qualifications.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:
- Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
- Must be able to lift lightweight sheet metal scrap pieces from floor and place into spaces at or slightly above shoulder-level.
- Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per day.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs periodically for 2-3 minutes each time. Floor cleaner is carried and applied by using 5-gallon buckets.
Qualifications:
