Position Purpose: Site Safety Supervisor / Safety Point of Contact (SPOC) is responsible for promoting a safe and compliant work environment by leading safety programs, conducting audits and investigations, delivering safety training, and partnering with operations to identify and reduce workplace risks. This role serves as the primary safety resource for the site, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards while supporting continuous improvement in safety performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
• Works safely at all times.
• Partner with regional safety management and facility management to advance the safety leadership skills among management and employee teams in an effort to assist them to anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous behaviors, work practices, and conditions.
• Effectively lead by guiding and educating internal operational partners on safety best practices and safety policies/procedures with the ultimate goal of continually reducing the onset of injuries and improving site safety performance.
• Serve as a technical expert on hazard recognition, assessment & counter-measuring in a variety of industrial environments including but not limited to Warehousing, Grounds, and Industrial/Technical Cleaning operations.
• Periodically review, analyze, and report lead/lag safety data to site Operations leadership as it pertains to injury prevention efforts.
• Coordinate compliance programs/procedures with responsible facility personnel.
• Periodically perform safety management processes and regulatory compliance audits.
• Develop, coordinate and/or lead local safety training and education processes.
• Coordination and participation in Leadec's incident investigation process serving primarily as a facilitator and technical advisor.
• Serve as liaison between Leadec sites under their direction and regulatory agencies.
• Assist and advise in the selection of personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate and assist with industrial hygiene monitoring programs.
• Maintain safety training/medical records in accordance with legal requirements and company policy.
• Ensure all incident/injury reports are submitted properly in accordance with legal requirements and company policy.
• Serve as primary liaison between sites and the Workers' Compensation Manager with regard to injury (Workers' Compensation) claims.
• Coordinate and lead Site Safety Team activities.
• SPOC represents all site team members on any health and safety matter
• SPOC represents corporate safety management to all team members
• Ensure that an effective internal network exists for communicating health and safety information to all team members
• Communicates changes in safety policy and operational safety requirements to site team members
• Maintains site safety board with Leadec Corporate safety requirements and site-specific data
• Participates in and contributes to the Safety Peer Group

Investigation:

• Ensures all incidents/injuries are immediately reported via the database within 24 hours
• Contributes to investigating all potential hazards, complaints by team members, and incidents/injuries. Uses incident investigation tools, including Root Cause Analysis, to determine the cause(s) of incidents, injuries or dangerous conditions
• Supports site Return to Work efforts to safely return injured team members to work as quickly as possible (restricted or unrestricted duty)

Audits/Inspections:

• Performs routine audits or assessments of the workplace areas to ensure the appropriate safety regulations are followed, whether they are Leadec, OSHA, EPA or from an equipment manufacturer
• Loads audit binders with required documentation, scans those documents into the audit database, and coordinates this effort with Site Management
• Participating in Safety It's Your Life Step Level audits
• Recommends corrective measures on audit findings to management and follows up to ensure measures are completed and effective

Training:

• SPOC shall successfully complete at a minimum the OSHA 30hr course; OSHA #511; OSHA #501 authorization is required
• SPOC shall successfully complete all Leadec required Train-the-Trainer courses prior to educating other team members
• Partner with operations to develop and/or deliver the appropriate safety education to team members
• Coordinate any outside training sessions for team members, either through authorized third-party trainers or internal Leadec Safety Team
• Maintains site training documentation and management system
• Attends Leadec safety events as necessary

• Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
• All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

Position Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field. 3 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through; a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local safety & health regulations; a full understanding of Leadec Safety Policy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/activities.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:

• Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
