Position: Production Equipment Maintenance Technician II
Location: San Antonio, TX

Position Purpose: Maintenance Technician II is responsible for supporting the maintenance team by executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring timely and effective repairs. This role focuses on the maintenance and repair of process carts and general production equipment, including highly automated and PLC-controlled systems, within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely at all times.
- Maintain workspace in a safe and orderly fashion, adhering to all 5S standards.
- Perform PM tasks according to Maximo work orders.
- Accurately log task and equipment info into Maximo CMMS system.
- Complete corrective work tasks and log into Maximo as corrective work orders.
- Responding to emergent maintenance needs by the production team.
- Identify and implement PM and safety improvements.
- Participate in training to increase knowledge about customer-affected equipment.
- Receive, respond to, and implement customer feedback and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure excellent customer service is provided to the client.
- Lead efforts in root cause analysis and elimination of recurring issues, prioritizing critical equipment.
- Provide high-level support for breakdown and repairs of general service and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot electromechanical and automation equipment including PLCs, AC/DC Drive Systems, Robotic Systems.
- Work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, ladder logic, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
- Assist management with compliance and prioritization of maintenance work orders.
- Provide rapid response to breakdowns during scheduled shifts.
- Correct mechanical, electrical, or programming issues in automated systems.
- Update "as-built" drawings as needed.
- Perform maintenance and repair of process carts.
- Prepare and set up equipment for production after repair.
- Perform scheduled PMs and document work orders, time worked, spare parts, and job plans.
- Support a team environment and self-manage tasks.

- SAP/CMMS experience preferred.
- Ability to pass maintenance-based aptitude and hands-on assessment tests.
- Completion of required certification courses and standard training programs.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance Technologies, or Industrial Electronics Technologies preferred.
- Journeyman's card preferred.
- 3-4 years of related maintenance and fabrication experience.
- Previous experience in an automotive, industrial, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrated problem resolution experience.

- Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with significant time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
