Position Purpose: The Director of Purchasing leads Leadec North America's Procurement Organization, driving best-in-class performance across cost, quality, risk management, and supplier performance. This role ensures strategic alignment between U.S. operations and Leadec's global procurement network, achieving optimal total cost of ownership and efficient procurement processes through modern systems, tools, and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely at all times.
- Responsible for national spending in relevant categories, both direct and indirect categories
- Accountable for safety performance, cost management, people and organizational development, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
- Leads, co-leads, or supports commercial sourcing activity across all categories as required to meet company objectives, e.g. RfX processes, bidding & e-Auctioning, contract negotiations
- Ensures the execution of best-in-class procurement strategies, e.g. RfX processes, negotiation execution and sourcing techniques
- Ensures that all procurement targets are met in close collaboration with U.S. leadership and global procurement targets
- Develops an implementation roadmap for addressing additional spend portions currently not in assigned categories
- Maintains business relationship to lead representatives of strategic suppliers for categories
- Leads, co-leads, or support non-commercial events as required to meet objectives, including, but not limited to Internal measure workshops with locations, Working Capital/Inventory Workshops, supplier events
- Is responsible for contract negotiations/terms and conditions with suppliers classified in current and future categories
- Relevant categories: Temp labor, subcontractors (construction, electrical, civil works, professional services etc.), cleaning chemicals, tools, sanitary equipment, work apparel, rental equipment
- Savings target on addressable spend
- Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.

- Leadec is currently ramping up their procurement function based on business needs and requirements. Therefore, it is paramount that he/she is proactive in day-to-day procurement functions, including but not limited to active management or one or several categories together with the existing dedicated buyers.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (master's preferred).
- 8--15 years in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, including leadership roles.
- Proven success managing large-scale service procurement (e.g., facility management, maintenance, construction, or automation).
- Strong negotiation skills with OEMs, system integrators, and technology providers.
- Demonstrated ability to align procurement strategies with project timelines and budgets.
- Financial acumen with experience in cost analysis, budgeting, and P&L interpretation.
- Deep understanding of automation, manufacturing processes, and related technologies.
- Certified in CPSM, CSCP, or CPM preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and changing management skills.
- Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
