Join Our Growing Pediatric Therapy Team!

Are you an Occupational Therapist who enjoys helping children learn, grow, and thrive through play? Lead The Way Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Part-Time Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in our beautiful new clinic in Glendale Heights, Illinois.

Whether you're an experienced pediatric OT or a new graduate looking for mentorship and growth opportunities, we'd love to meet you. We provide both Early Intervention and clinic-based therapy services to children and families throughout the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

At Lead The Way Therapy, we believe meaningful progress happens through connection, collaboration, and play-based learning. Our therapists work together to create individualized, family-centered treatment plans that support each child's unique developmental journey.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to assess developmental, sensory, motor, and self-regulation needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
  • Provide engaging, play-based therapy sessions in the clinic and natural environments for Early Intervention clients.
  • Support children through relationship-based interactions that foster communication, regulation, independence, and confidence.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with professional, insurance, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, and other professionals to support the whole child.
  • Educate and empower families with practical strategies for success at home and in the community.

Qualifications

  • Current Illinois Occupational Therapist license required.
  • Passion for working with infants, toddlers, and school-age children.
  • Interest in sensory integration, motor development, self-regulation, and pediatric therapy.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience or interest in Early Intervention and/or DIR/Floortime approaches is welcomed.
  • New graduates encouraged to apply.

What Makes Us Different

We embrace a relationship-based, child-led model that follows each child's unique developmental profile. We focus on connection before compliance, helping children build regulation, communication, confidence, and meaningful participation through play and engagement.

We Follow the Child's Lead

Rather than forcing children into rigid therapy activities, we meet them where they are, build on their interests, and create meaningful opportunities for growth through authentic interactions and play.

Whether you're a seasoned therapist or just beginning your pediatric career, you'll receive ongoing support from experienced clinicians. We believe great therapists never stop learning, and we're committed to helping you build confidence.
