Lead Capital Partners is seeking to hire an Investment Associate with 2–3 years of post-undergraduate experience to start in Summer 2026. As a member of the investment team, the Associate will play a key role in evaluating new investment opportunities, underwriting and structuring platform and add-on investments, supporting due diligence and monitoring portfolio company performance. The Associate will work closely with portfolio company executives (CEOs, CFOs, COOs, etc.) and support Lead’s Principals in the day-to-day management of LCP and its portfolio companies.


The ideal candidate will have prior transaction experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting and possess the ability to evaluate, analyze and synthesize complex investment opportunities. The Associate must thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, work effectively on small deal teams with minimal oversight and demonstrate strong judgment and accountability. The position is based in Nashville, TN at LCP’s corporate office.


Founded in 2011, Lead Capital Partners is a lower middle market, healthcare-focused private equity fund based in Nashville, TN. LCP partners with founders and operators of healthcare services businesses that have demonstrated clear growth potential and strong customer propositions. Leveraging our team’s industry network and expertise, we work closely with founders and management teams to build long-term value.


Position Responsibilities:


Investment Evaluation & Execution

o  Support all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, evaluating, underwriting and executing new investment opportunities

o  Conduct detailed due diligence on potential investments, including analysis of financial statements, operating metrics and growth initiatives

o  Participate in meetings with intermediaries, management teams, lenders and other transaction counterparties

o  Research and assess target companies’ competitive positioning, market size, industry trends and regulatory environment

o  Build and maintain integrated financial models, including operating models, transaction structures and sensitivity analyses

o  Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and support the presentation of investment recommendations to LCP’s Investment Committee

o  Coordinate with third-party diligence providers, including legal, financial, regulatory and industry consultants


Portfolio Management

o  Support portfolio company management teams with strategic, financial and operational initiatives

o  Build and refine annual budgets in collaboration with LCP principals and management teams

o  Monitor portfolio company performance relative to strategic plan and investment thesis

o  Track KPIs and operational metrics across portfolio companies

o  Participate in board preparation, including analysis, presentation materials and follow up action items

o  Support add-on acquisition evaluation and execution, including financial modeling and diligence support

o  Support working capital management initiatives, including oversight of revolving credit facilities, covenant tracking and line of credit renewals

Investment Reporting & Fundraising Support

o  Support principals in fundraising efforts by assisting in preparation of pitch materials, data room formation, due diligence responses and investor presentations

o  Support fund-level analytics, performance tracking and benchmarking initiatives across the portfolio


Qualifications:

o  Team player with proven ability to work in a collaborative environment

o  Strong integrity and professionalism

o  Positive attitude, energy and overall enthusiasm for private assets, investing and financial analytics

o  2-3 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, private equity or management consulting

o  Undergraduate degree with a strong record of academic achievement

o  Strong reference check(s) from current / previous employer(s)

o  Proven understanding of accounting / balance sheet analysis, finance and financial markets

o  Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

o  Exceptional interpersonal and quantitative skill set

o  Self-starter with the ability to work in a lean team environment

o  Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
