Job Description Summary: Perform various general labor tasks throughout the facility, including packing, weighing, quality control, and preparing products, while adhering to safety and quality standards. This is a union role with a starting rate of *$17.87/hr. *Rate differential for night shift premium. *Compensation is based on number of hours worked 0 -1000 according to Local 83 CBA. *Holiday Season is scheduled to start mid-September and subject to layoff after season is completed based on seniority and skill and ability. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Perform General Labor as needed throughout the facility. Including but not limited to the ability to pack at set line speeds, weigh product, provide break relief as needed and form boxes. Arrange candy on layer boards. Responsible for identifying candy not meeting quality standards. Feed and catch products, where applicable. Demold product as needed. Pack individual candy according to specifications. Responsible for placing all packaging material according to specifications (ex: desiccant, oxygen absorber) on products. May apply labels and stickers accurately to stock boxes, ensuring proper alignment and adherence. Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols, including wearing proper attire and gloves. Qualifications: Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities of candy. Effective communication skills and team collaboration. Must abide by all See’s standards and policies as noted on the employee Handbook (safety, attendance, cell phone use, dress code, No soliciting, bullying, discrimination.) Must abide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines and policies. Physical Requirements: Stand for more than 8 hours, with overtime. Lift up to 30 pounds, stock boxes can be 15-20 pounds. This varies by type of candy. Able to repeatedly use both hands. Able to stand, walk, bend, reach through the duration of shift. Able to work night shifts and weekend as needed.
