Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance. A Laboratory Technician I is responsible for performing tasks required to meet the expectations of our clients, in addition to efficiently and profitably generating defensible data in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in working under possibly hazardous conditions (e.g. pathogens or chemicals). He/She/They will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that makes things move forward As a key member of the Richmond Laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sample/Equipment Receipt Sample Pressurization/Preparation Sample Screening Sample Archive Management Flow Controller inspection, calibration, leak checking Assist with the loading of cleaning batches Assist with equipment order assembly/packing Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director YOUR EXPERTISE & SKILLS To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or GED Required, Bachelor of Science Degree preferred Strong MS Office skills Must have strong mechanical skills and enjoy working with tools on a daily basis Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organizational skills and strong communication skills Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and to lift/manipulate smaller weight items throughout the day. Must have the ability to stand and move about for approximately 80 % of the shift PREFERRED SKILLS Knowledge of general lab practices and lab safety Database/LIMS experience is highly preferred Prior warehouse and/or shipping and receiving experience The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
