Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and documents efficiently and safely while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong driving skills, the ability to lift heavy items, and experience with route driving.

Duties

• Deliver packages and documents to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of all materials.
• Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on deliveries and address any inquiries.
• Utilize warehouse experience to assist in organizing and managing inventory as needed.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
• Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary.
• Navigate routes efficiently to optimize delivery times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Courier or in a similar delivery driver role.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Experience with commercial driving, including familiarity with manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks regularly throughout the day.
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
