Experience with various POS systems, fine dining, and food handling is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Ensure proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting tables efficiently
- Manage cash handling accurately and process payments swiftly using POS systems
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food industry trends including fine dining practices
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast POS.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively through sales techniques like upselling
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling transactions
- Previous experience in serving roles within the food industry or nightlife venues such as nightclubs or host/host positions is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced setting
