About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Manager to join our growing landscape company. As the primary liaison between our company and valued clients, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptional client relationships, ensuring project success, and driving business growth through superior service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial and residential accounts
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally
- Conduct regular client meetings and property assessments
- Ensure client satisfaction and retention
Project Coordination & Quality Control
- Develop and implement comprehensive work plans for client properties
- Coordinate scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation across multiple projects
- Conduct weekly property inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Provide feedback and direction to production crews and field supervisors
- Monitor project timelines and ensure on-time completion
- Oversee crew performance and provide training as needed
Business Development
- Identify and pursue upselling opportunities with existing clients
- Develop proposals for additional services and enhancements
- Maintain and grow assigned book of business
- Collaborate with sales team to target new market opportunities
- Present landscaping solutions that align with client needs and budgets
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate client records and account documentation
- Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and work orders
- Coordinate billing processes and resolve payment issues
- Generate regular reports on account performance and growth
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Required Qualifications
Experience & Education
- 2 years of account management or client relations experience
- Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or related service industry strongly preferred
- Proven track record of maintaining client relationships and driving business growth
Skills & Competencies
- Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate field crews and subcontractors
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organization: Strong project management and time management abilities
- Sales Acumen: Experience with consultative selling and relationship-based sales
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of landscaping practices, plant materials, and maintenance procedures
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve conflicts and address challenges proactively
- Technology: Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk properties and conduct outdoor inspections in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications (NALP, ICPI, or similar)
- Experience with landscape design software
- Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and horticultural practices
