Role Description
The Brand Partnerships & Sponsorships Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and brand awareness through strategic brand partnerships, sponsorship sales, and long-term collaborations for our flagship brand Soul Stage LA™. This role will lead the end-to-end partnership lifecycle—from prospecting and pitching to execution and reporting—ensuring alignment with the company’s creative vision and business objectives.
Location: Remote (subject to occasional in-person meetings in Los Angeles, CA)
Hours: Contract, Part-Time – 20 to 25 hours per week
1. Partnership Strategy & Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sponsorship and partnership strategy aligned with event and media calendars.
- Identify target brand categories and build a qualified pipeline of prospective partners.
- Curate tiered sponsorship packages (title, presenting, supporting, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal teams to align partnerships with audience, brand positioning, and creative direction.
2. Sales & Business Development
- Lead proactive outreach to brands, agencies, and marketing decision-makers.
- Pitch partnership opportunities across Soul Stage LA™ live events, digital media, and experiential activations.
- Negotiate deal terms, pricing, and deliverables.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution.
- Meet or exceed revenue targets and KPIs.
3. Sponsorship Procurement
3.1 Sponsorship Execution & Fulfillment
- Oversee execution of all sponsor deliverables across events and campaigns.
- Collaborate with event production, marketing, and creative teams to ensure seamless integration(s).
- Manage timelines, approvals, and asset delivery (branding, content, activations).
- Ensure high-quality brand representation and partner satisfaction.
3.2 Target Identification
Manager shall identify and qualify prospective sponsors in categories including, but not limited to:
- Beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic)
- Lifestyle and fashion
- Beauty and grooming
- Technology
- Hospitality and venues
- Financial services
- Automotive
- Creator economy platforms
- Consumer packaged goods
4. Negotiation & Deal Structuring
4.1 Commercial Negotiation
Manager shall negotiate:
- Sponsorship fee and payment schedule
- Deliverables and activation specifics
- Exclusivity and category protections
- Intellectual property usage rights (logo, name, footage)
- Approval processes
- Reporting requirements
- Cancellation and force majeure provisions
- Insurance requirements
- Make-good provisions
4.2 Contract Coordination
- Coordinate with Company legal counsel or designated reviewer.
- Ensure final contract terms reflect negotiated agreements.
- Facilitate contract execution.
- Ensure invoices are issued according to payment schedules.
- Maintain contract repository and obligation tracker.
5. Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for brand partners and sponsors.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and agency partners.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment on expectations and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for renewals, upsells, and multi-event partnerships.
6. Campaign Tracking & Reporting
- Define KPIs and success metrics for each partnership (impressions, engagement, attendance, ROI).
- Track performance and compile post-event/campaign reports.
- Present insights and recommendations to partners and internal stakeholders.
- Use data to refine future partnership strategies.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, content, and production teams to align on deliverables.
- Ensure integration of sponsors into digital content, social campaigns, and on-site activations.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure contract compliance and execution logistics.
8. Market Research & Industry Insights
- Stay informed on industry trends in brand partnerships, experiential marketing, and sponsorships.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify new partnership opportunities.
- Recommend innovative sponsorship formats and revenue streams.
9. Post-Event Reporting & Retention Strategy
- Deliver post-event recap reports to sponsors including:
- Photographic proof of placement
- Livestream screenshots
- Social media performance summaries
- Audience engagement metrics (if available)
- Conduct sponsor debrief calls.
- Identify upsell and renewal opportunities.
- Maintain ongoing sponsor relationships for multi-event partnerships.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Sponsorship Sales and Sponsorship Activation, with a track record of successful partnership deals or business development (events, media, or entertainment preferred)
- Strong Communication and Sales skills, including the ability to pitch effectively and build long-term business relationships
- Ability to develop strategic partnership plans and execute them with a results-driven approach
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Experience in brand partnerships, sponsorship sales, ;
- Strong network of brand and/or agency contacts;
- Proven track record of closing partnerships and hitting revenue targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with CRM tools, pitch deck development, and reporting analytics
- Interest in live music, live events, and emerging media.
