What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breakfast Cook position at Le Cafe Coffee - Bryant Park?
Duties:- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen manager or chef.- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.- Handle and store food items in accordance with food safety standards.- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes as needed.- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries and requests.- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations in the kitchen.- Perform inventory control of all food items in the kitchen._ Grocery Shopping if needed for the kitchen cafe and assist the kitchen chef.Experience:- Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary role is preferred but not required.- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and food safety practices is a plus.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
