Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to meet customer specifications
- Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes, ensuring presentation quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen area
- Assist with food production and food handling tasks as needed during busy periods
- Ensure all baked items meet food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support catering events by preparing specialty desserts and pastries
- Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pastry arts, baking, or culinary roles within the food industry
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with food preparation, packaging, and kitchen operations
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with baking equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is preferred but not required
- Culinary education or pastry certification is a plus
