Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations within the shop, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Duties
- Load and unload materials and products as needed, ensuring safe handling practices.
- Operate flatbed truck/truck and trailer for deliveries and pickups.
- Perform courier duties to deliver items promptly and accurately.
- Support shop operations by organizing inventory and maintaining cleanliness.
- Drive 5k forklift for loading/unloading trucks
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient service delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shop environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid driver’s license necessary, experience in commercial driving is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks throughout the day.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and other equipment is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role.
