POSITION: Corporate Controller
REPORTS TO: CFO

SUMMARY
The Corporate Controller will manage the company’s financial activities, ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and provide strategic insights to support business decisions. You will oversee the accounting department and work closely with senior management to drive financial performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)
- Oversee accounting functions with the corporate accounting team
- Oversee month-end close processes, including balancing, timely upload of all month-end reports, and reconciliation and accuracy of all ledgers and reports submitted
- Participate in monthly review of financial statements and review of all general ledger account classifications for multiple entities
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and research on financial questions as appropriate
- Lead, direct and manage staff accountants, Accounts Payable Specialists and Tax Specialists
- Perform analysis of budget-to-actual variations and ensure accuracy of financial results
- Prepare monthly cash forecast as required by ownership
- Oversee all corporate cash handling operations and procedures
- Oversee Accounts Payable invoices, verifying the accuracy of coding
- Create and implement internal audit SOPs and standards
- Advise Executive leadership in controlling expenses and maintaining department checkbooks
- Ensure that the company meets internal and external audit standards
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of financial management experience
- CPA preferred
- BA or BS degree in accounting or finance required
- Knowledge and deep understanding of all aspects of company operations.
- Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills
- Builds morale and spirit while instilling an industry-leading guest service attitude in all associates.
- Strong customer service orientation and skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- "Hands-on" leadership approach to management and team development.
- Must be able to prioritize functions in order to meet all deadlines.
- Well-versed in strategic planning and operational execution
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting required
- Ability to communicate statistical and financial data at the executive and entry level
- Ability to thoroughly understand and analyze financial statements and cash flows
- Ability to produce results with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and general ledger reconciliation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computerized general ledger systems
- Knowledge of PMS and POS systems strongly preferred

WORK CONDITIONS
You are required to work in enclosed office spaces in a climate-controlled environment. Noise levels will be moderate due to office equipment, traffic, telephones, and meetings.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, employees must be able to engage in routine physical activities, including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, and using their hands for typing and handling materials.
Employees must be capable of lifting or moving items up to 15 pounds and possess adequate visual abilities, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required for training, property support, or other job-related needs.
