LD Carlson Company, a premier wholesale distributor of wine and beer making products, is seeking an experienced and driven Buyer / Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic supply chain team.
We are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings experience in buying, negotiating, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing activities across multiple product lines
- Analyze demand forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Collaborate with internal departments, Customer Service, Operations, Accounting.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and supply chain efficiencies
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Strong background in forecasting, buying analytics, and vendor negotiations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, tenacious work ethic and sense of urgency
- Willingness to learn and be coached; open to feedback and continual improvement
Compensation & Benefits
- Salaried position – compensation negotiable based on experience
- Hours: 8am-5pm
