How You’ll Contribute
- Provide emergency response services, responds to dispatched calls, and performs assignments to protect life and property.
- Enforce federal, state, and local laws, as well as LCRA rules and regulations.
- Specific to Project employment:
- Must be eligible to immediately obtain and then maintain Basic TCOLE Peace Officer license
- Specific to Regular employment:
- Successful completion of Project employment field training program
- Successful completion of Boating Safety and Marine Safety Enforcement Officer training
- Ability to maintain Basic TCOLE Peace Office license
- For Both:
- Two or more years of experience in public safety and/or law enforcement or other relevant experience
- Driver's license
- Successful completion of relevant fitness for duty examinations
- Must pass the CJIS fingerprint-based background investigation according to the State of Texas standards
- Must remain current with all CJIS training requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain National Incident Management System (NIMS) certifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) certification
- Two or more years continuous experience as a full-time law enforcement officer working in a law enforcement department.
