How You’ll Contribute
- Analyze energy and ancillary service markets to develop trading and origination strategies that mitigate price and market risks.
- Record trades in the trade capture system to ensure accuracy and support effective reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support decision-making across origination, regulatory, and development activities.
- Mark the daily forward curve to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Monitor market dynamics, including supply, demand, and regulatory impacts to optimize trading strategies and minimize risks.
- Six or more years of experience in power or gas trading, power or gas marketing, energy forecasting analysis, energy structure analysis, financial risk management, or energy risk management or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in business, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Experience analyzing and trading within the ERCOT market.
- Experience adhering to risk management policies and procedures.
- Advanced understanding of energy market dynamics and trading strategies.
