Warehouse Supervisor/Forklift Operator

Job Summary

Join our dynamic retail and wholesale team as a Warehouse Supervisor and Forklift Operator, where you will lead daily warehouse operations, ensure efficient inventory management, and maintain a safe and organized environment. This role combines hands-on materials handling with team leadership, driving process improvements and overseeing warehouse distribution activities. Your expertise will help streamline shipping and receiving, optimize warehouse workflows, and uphold safety standards to support our fast-paced e-commerce and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) operations.

Duties

• Supervise daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling.
• Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, move, and organize products throughout the facility.
• Manage inventory accuracy using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms, ensuring precise stock levels and data integrity.
• Lead a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance on best practices for heavy lifting, safety protocols, and process improvements.
• Coordinate logistics operations to meet shipping deadlines and optimize warehouse distribution efficiency.
• Conduct regular safety inspections in compliance with OSHA standards; promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.
• Implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall warehouse performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Valid forklift certification with demonstrated mechanical knowledge for safe operation of heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling techniques.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), AS400 systems, and logistics software such as 3PL platforms.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy lifting procedures.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly; comfortable working in a physically demanding setting.
• Prior experience in e-commerce warehouses or logistics environments is highly desirable.
