Position Summary*
As Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing your products across the full product life cycle. You will leverage your communication skills to lead by influence, collaborating across a variety of functions in the company and guiding your product team to develop solutions that meet the needs of customers in target markets. Additionally, you will engage with customers and study the market to understand emerging market problems that need to be solved. You will become the expert of your products and will be responsible for their success. You possess a blend of business and technical understanding that includes a big-picture vision and a strong desire to make that vision a reality. You enjoy spending time in the market to understand market problems and collaborating with your team to find innovative solutions for the broader market. You don’t take product enhancement requests at face value, but you invest the time and effort necessary to understand the business problem behind the request. Then, you work with your team to develop and deliver a solution that delights customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities*

  • Manage the entire product life cycle from prototyping and validating
  • new concepts to sunsetting legacy products.
  • Act as the “voice of the market” to the rest of the organization.
  • Leverage market research, customer feedback, industry trends, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities to build and improve your products.
  • Create user stories for current and future products based on the market problems you’ve identified.
  • Collaborate with other product managers and product owners to ensure alignment across products.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Client Services to implement go-to-market plans for your products.
  • Monitor the competition and develop strategies and tactics to reduce competitive threats.
  • Generate and socialize product performance reporting to help the organization understand why your products are winning or losing in the market.
  • Champion and execute the vision and strategy for growing your products

Education and Experience*

  • 5 years as a Product Manager
  • 3 years of experience in a B2B product management or technical client services role in an Agile environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications or a related field.
  • Experience working with software development teams.
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile development principles.
  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate the goals of a product or feature to internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in certified payroll or labor regulatory compliance a plus.
  • Pragmatic Certified preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner preferred

Salary Range*
CA Product Manager salary range is $90,000 to $120,000 annual
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Work Environment*
This position can perform its duties from our Orange, CA office, with the ability to work hybrid part-time, once training is complete. This position operates in a professional office environment and role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, mobile devices, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Requirements*
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to type, scroll and use computer equipment. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work*
This is a full-time exempt position. Days/hours worked are dependent on the workload at the time. General availability and presence in the office is expected during regular business hours Monday-Friday. However, some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel*
There is no major travel requirement for this position. However, infrequent travel may be necessary to visit clients, travel to other LCPtracker office(s), attend conferences/industry events, etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat is required. This event is a 2-3-day retreat. Attendance at our annual User Conference as assigned.
