LCI-Lineberger Construction Inc. is located in Lancaster, SC and provides heavy highway and civil construction services. Our employees work regionally and are home each night. LCI provides a 30-hour guarantee benefit to construction and driver employees.
Were hiring an experienced Lowboy (Heavy Haul) Truck Driver to support our heavy highway and civil construction operations. You'll transport construction equipment safely between yards, vendors, and active jobsites while following USDOT/FMCSA regulations, company safety policies, and jobsite traffic control requirements.
What youll do
- Haul heavy construction equipment using a tractor/lowboy combination to and from heavy highway and civil construction projects.
- Load and unload equipment safely (and operate equipment for loading/unloading when qualified and authorized).
- Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, blocking, and edge protection; re-check securement per policy.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; complete DVIRs, ELD logs, and trip paperwork accurately.
- Coordinate with dispatch and jobsite contacts on schedules, access, and safe delivery/pickup windows.
- Work safely around live traffic and moving equipment and follow all PPE and jobsite safety requirements.
What were looking for
- Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record.
- Current DOT medical examiners certificate and ability to meet DOT physical requirements.
- Working knowledge of USDOT/FMCSA regulations (HOS/ELD, inspections, and cargo securement).
- Experience with lowboy/heavy haul operations, including equipment loading/unloading and securement (preferred).
- Flexible schedule to meet project needs (early starts, extended hours, occasional nights/weekends).
