Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Caregivers. As a Caregiver, you will provide direct support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a home care setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs as directed
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with residents
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using lifting systems when necessary
- Follow resident care plans and ensure resident rights are respected
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus
- Ability to lift and move residents using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
