We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher / Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds
- Assist with the preparation of forms, rebar installation, and setting up forms for concrete
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials, tools, and equipment around the site
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution
- Perform general labor duties including site cleanup, material handling, and assisting skilled trades like carpentry or masonry as needed
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and pouring techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., hammers, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) safely and effectively
- Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry work, stucco application, and roofing basics is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise project execution
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or concrete pumps is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working outdoors in various weather conditions
