Senior Manager - Tax Services

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will be a certified public accountant (CPA) with a proven track record of managing teams and providing exceptional client services. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and maintain robust relationships with key clients and decision-makers, effectively communicating the breadth of our services and their benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing feedback and training to enhance their skills and performance.
• Develop and sustain strong working relationships with clients, ensuring they are informed about the firm’s services and how they add value to their organizations.
• Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns and financial documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for tax planning and advise clients on strategies to optimize their tax positions.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated services that meet clients’ business needs.
• Collaborate with partners on operational improvements.

Qualifications:

• CPA certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax services.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients and team members.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and relevant industry regulations.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of business development or client growth.
• Commitment to professional development and long-term career growth.
• Preferred software experience: CCH ProSystem fx Tax suite, CaseWare, QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
