The General Manager provides overall leadership for hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing associates, achieving financial goals, and maintaining company and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day hotel operations and ensure exceptional guest service.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop hotel associates.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and promote a positive, accountable workplace culture.
- Develop and execute financial objectives while managing budgets, expenses, payroll, and operational controls.
- Monitor hotel performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, government regulations, and safety requirements.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and hotel grounds for cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
- Ensure equipment and property maintenance issues are addressed promptly.
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and other administrative functions.
- Resolve escalated guest concerns professionally.
- Maintain positive community and business relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3 years of hotel management experience, including budget responsibility.
- 5 years of experience supervising 15 or more associates.
- Hilton or Marriott experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, financial analysis, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must meet company security clearance requirements.
- On-site position with flexible availability, including weekends.
- Periodic overnight travel may be required.
- Ability to push/pull up to 60 lbs. and lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
