Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to recipes, brand standards, and guest requests.
- Verify identification and follow all applicable alcohol-service laws and company policies.
- Provide menu and beverage recommendations while promoting featured items.
- Accurately process charges, payments, and gratuities using the applicable point-of-sale system.
- Maintain bar supplies, liquor inventory, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
- Complete opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and other assigned side work.
- Assist with food preparation, service, and storage when required.
- Respond professionally to guest questions or concerns.
- Follow food-safety, alcohol-safety, security, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain required responsible alcohol-service and food-handling certifications.
- Perform other related duties within the associate’s training and capabilities.
Qualifications
- Must meet the minimum legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages.
- At least one year of food-and-beverage experience preferred.
- Hotel, restaurant, chain, or retail food-service experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; associate degree is a plus.
- Food-handler and responsible alcohol-service certifications are preferred at hire and may be required after employment.
- Knowledge of cocktails, beverage trends, responsible alcohol service, and basic cash handling.
- Friendly, dependable, and able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- With or without reasonable accommodation, the associate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stretch, and reach; lift or carry up to 30 pounds; and push or pull up to 60 pounds. This on-site position may require varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
