What are the responsibilities and job description for the CXT-Precast Production Worker II position at LB Foster?
- Follow all safe work practices and procedures.
- Utilize 5S standards to maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Carryout verbal and written instructions from Foreman.
- Be trained in two production processes or production of two products.
- Complete jobs in a timely fashion to ensure on time shipment.
- Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
- Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Perform regular pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.
- Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools.
- Trained and signed off on mobile equipment or cranes required to complete work assignments.
- Work with quality and production teams to identify areas for process improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 years of experience in a production environment
- Meet all Production Worker I Requirements and Skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and written instructions.
- Ability to work in a high paced environment while maintaining safety standards and following all safe work practices.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools associated with assigned work area within plant.
- A focus on prioritization, time efficiency, problem solving and teamwork.
- Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
