About the Opportunity
Lazyface Sunscreen is looking for enthusiastic, creative, and entrepreneurial college students and graduates to join our Experiential & Field Marketing Ambassador Program in Austin.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in experiential marketing, field marketing, grassroots campaigns, business development, wholesale outreach, event activations, community partnerships, and consumer engagement.
Ambassadors will work alongside the Lazyface and She-She Media Design teams to help identify where and how Lazyface should show up in Austin, from festivals and pop-ups to local businesses, retailers, restaurants, fitness studios, sporting events, and other lifestyle destinations.
This is not simply an event staffing position. Ambassadors will be encouraged to think strategically, identify opportunities, make connections, and help create new places and experiences for consumers to discover Lazyface.
What You'll Do
Depending on your interests and experience, ambassadors may assist with:
Experiential & Field Marketing
- Representing Lazyface at events, festivals, pop-ups, retail activations, and community gatherings
- Helping execute creative grassroots and experiential marketing campaigns
- Identifying local events, festivals, businesses, organizations, and communities that would be a strong fit for Lazyface activations
- Researching and pitching ideas for Lazyface pop-ups, sampling opportunities, partnerships, and brand activations
- Helping coordinate event logistics, setup, activation, and breakdown
- Engaging directly with consumers and introducing them to the Lazyface brand and products
- Distributing product samples and branded materials
Business Development & Partnerships
- Identifying potential wholesale accounts and retail partners throughout Austin
- Researching local boutiques, hotels, gyms, fitness studios, outdoor retailers, restaurants, bars, lifestyle businesses, and other potential partners
- Helping develop and organize lists of prospective wholesale and promotional partners
- Assisting with outreach and introductory pitches to potential partners
- Identifying opportunities for co-hosted events, product placement, sampling, cross-promotions, and other brand partnerships
- Learning how a growing consumer brand develops relationships with local businesses and turns introductions into opportunities
Creative & Brand Building
- Brainstorming creative ways to bring Lazyface's "Stay Lazy" brand personality into the Austin community
- Identifying culturally relevant "Lazyface moments" where the brand can naturally show up
- Capturing photos and videos during activations for social media and marketing purposes
- Helping create memorable, authentic, and shareable brand experiences
- Contributing ideas for grassroots campaigns and community initiatives

- Active on social media and comfortable creating or appearing in content
- Able to work independently while also collaborating with a team
- Available to participate in select weekend activations and events
Prior marketing, sales, or event experience is not required. We're looking for applicants who want to learn, make connections, and get hands-on experience.
Schedule & Commitment
The program offers a flexible schedule designed to work around academic commitments and secondary jobs. However, ambassadors must be able to commit to 1-2 weekday events and select weekend activations and events, as many of Lazyface's experiential marketing opportunities take place outside of traditional business hours.
Ambassadors will also be expected to dedicate time outside of events to researching opportunities, identifying potential partners, developing ideas, and assisting with outreach.
Specific dates, activations, and opportunities will be communicated in advance.
Compensation
This is primarily an unpaid, voluntary professional development opportunity designed to provide students with hands-on, resume and portfolio building experience in experiential marketing, field marketing, business development, events, and brand building.
Lazyface will provide additional and negotiable compensation for ambassadors participating in significant weekend commitments starting at $20/hr mininum. Any such compensation will be determined by Lazyface and the Ambassdor on a case-by-case basis.
Ambassadors will not be expected to incur out-of-pocket expenses in connection with approved Lazyface activities. Reasonable, pre-approved expenses related to participation in the Program will be reimbursed by Lazyface in accordance with program guidelines.
Ambassadors may also receive Lazyface products, branded merchandise, event experiences, networking opportunities, and professional development opportunities as part of their participation.
