Vehicle Maintenance Technician

The Vehicle Maintenance Technician will work with the Fleet Manager and perform any required maintenance on commercial vehicles.

Pay rate: $18/hour

Schedule: Full time Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Principal Job Duties:

• Vehicle Maintenance Technician will be stationed at Lot C maintenance shop.
• Required to fill out various logs and records.
• Perform maintenance on various kinds of commercial vehicles at location.
• Follow the directions of the Fleet Manager.
  
• Work closely with management
• Assist with traffic when needed.

Skills & Requirements:

• This position requires a chauffer's license
• Must have mechanical experience
• Must show proof of working in maintenance related field in last twelve months
• Must have some knowledge of commercial vehicles including gas, diesel, CNG
• Must be able to operate snow removal equipment (Bobcat, salt spreaders, plow trucks)
• Must be able to troubleshoot electrical related issues
• Must stay in shift for a minimal of two years
• Clocking in and out punctually.
• Wearing complete clean company issued uniform.
• Abiding by the negotiated work rules.
• Remaining in your designated area unless directed otherwise by your supervisor.

Physical Demands:

• Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift)
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
