The Spirit Of The Position
The 2nd shift Supervisor will oversee the facilities of the garage and/or surface lots and ensure preservation of the location.
What does a day in the life of a LAZ Supervisor look like?
- Ensures staff adheres to rules of conduct, policies and procedures.
- Assist in establishing performance standards, recommending and implementing changes to procedures when necessary.
- Responsible for running any reports related to daily revenue, credit cards, garage data or other reports requested by management.
- Assists with periodic training as needed.
- Greet by/use name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the company.
- Assist with the management and development of the location(s) team to accomplish annual and periodic goals/initiatives, while embodying and using LAZ Parking’s culture as a guideline.
- Responsible for completion of daily tasks at assigned location in the absence of an assigned frontline employee(s) or on a regular basis to fill a shift.
- Responsible for developing client relationships and business retention.
- Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual operational reports as required.
- Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned location.
- Communicate with local police department and emergency management teams related to claims and daily operation.
- Assist with the monitoring, review, and analysis of the market rate structures.
- Implementation and completion of other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from assigned location.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Supervisor experience is required.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Some lead experience is a plus.
- Cash handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Dynamic. You’re charismatic, full of energy, and happy to help in any way you can.
- Dependable. Responsible is your middle name. You never disappoint because it’s not in your nature.
- Good under pressure. You don’t fold and get overwhelmed easily.
- Proficient in basic math.
- Communicate professionally and effectively.
- A team player. You’re open to different opinions and can help motivate your team.
- Capable of working in an unsupervised setting.
- Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
