The Event Manager oversees the personnel for event operations, such as entertainment, sporting, and representing those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Compensation $55k - $65k DOE

Shift hours: The Event Manager must be available at all hours based on the event schedule.

Principal Job Duties

  • In charge of managing personnel: hiring events, training, retention, and NPO specific relationship building.
  • Promoting a people-first servant leadership model by providing the resources that allow employees to grow and thrive.
  • Creating a customer-centric culture that encourages and celebrates a team that values being approachable, knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging.
  • Identifying high-potential employees to support the organization’s continued growth.
  • Aiding the establishment of a positive safety-oriented workplace environment.
  • Advance a positive, organic, and flexible culture of safety.
  • Oversee the Event department.
  • Align processes, resource-planning, and department-specific goals with overall business strategy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and make operational adjustments when necessary to ensure success.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all requirements within contractual agreements between LAZ Parking and clients.
  • Identify targeted areas of improvement and implement effective, data-driven solutions to improve the business.
  • Assist in developing short—and long-term strategic plans based on event knowledge and data analysis to further the business’ vision.
  • Prepare, track, and manage events and initiatives throughout the year, including task management, weekly update meetings, and issue escalation.
  • Manage staff, including scheduling, assignments, payroll processing, coaching, and staff development. - Work with Event Venue to track events that impact parking.
  • Implement and complete projects, programs, and initiatives based on event needs.
  • Organize and manage the oversight of event operations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • 3 years in a management role.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and General Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Parking and Event management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to be flexible in schedule to meet operational needs. This may require occasionally working outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Physical Demands

  • Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
