Key Responsibilities
- Works with a team
- Assists skilled workers as assigned
- Prepare trenches by digging, grading and compacting as needed
- Help install trench shoring, safety equipment, and follow all safety protocols
- Use hand and power tools, such as shovels, rakes, tampers and saws
- Load, unload and transport materials around the job site
- Assist with pipe alignment, bedding and sealing
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Sets safety example by following proper OSHA guidelines at all times
- Perform general labor and all other duties as assigned
- Basic knowledge of construction a plus but not necessary
- Valid Driver's License or State ID
- Knowledge of basic tools and equipment used in construction
- Willingness to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in trenches and confined spaces
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
- Certifications (can be obtained once hired): OSHA 10
