*Starting $65k - $80k plus bonus and PTO (coming Q1 2027). Health insurance will be in process in 2027 as well! Starting salary and benefits depend on availability and ability/experience! We have another location opening on the East side of Madison in the works and have many more locations in the works! An ability build sales through excellent 4 walls execution and local store marketing is a must. The owners assist all managers in hiring, but an ability to conduct professional and quality interviews

Layne’s Chicken Fingers, founded in College Station, Texas, is the original Texas chicken finger restaurant. Position Summary

The General Manager (GM) leads all aspects of restaurant operations, including team development, financial performance, and guest experience. This hands-on leader sets the tone for the team, drives results, and ensures every guest visit is “Perfect Every Time.”

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations and overall performance
• Lead an “Unreasonable Hospitality” culture

· Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team

· Constant coaching to build up as many managers as possible who can go on to run their own restaurant as we expand

· Manage labor, food cost, and key financial metrics

· Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and service standards

· Oversee inventory, ordering, and operational efficiency

· Build strong guest and community relationships

· Execute local marketing initiatives and brand standards

· Analyze performance and drive continuous improvement

· Support and promote a fun, positive team culture

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
• 5 years of QSR or fast-casual management experience
• Drive-thru experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems
• Food Manager Certification or willing to obtain
• Ability to communicate in English & Spanish preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

· Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

o You work when your restaurant needs you most

· Must be 18 years of age or older

Additional Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of labor laws, food safety, and compliance
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and P&L management
• Passion for developing teams and delivering great guest experiences
• Ability to adapt to new initiatives and challenges

Other Job duties

• Train new team members
• Cross train existing team members
• Set expectations and hold team members accountable
• Motivating team members every shift
• Run pre-shift meetings
• Ensure aces are in their places and direct people to work on prep or cleaning tasks then back to help guests and complete orders as volumes dictates
• Manage tills as needed
• Ensure accuracy of every order while taking care of any guest complaints
• Maintain highest level of guest service
• Maintain cleanliness of dining room and front of house facilities

Duties continued:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Provide excellent customer service, taking orders and processing payments
- Upsell menu items and promote special offers to customers
- Ensure food safety and proper handling procedures are followed at all times

Requirements continued:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Strong sales and upselling skills
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
