Layman Distributing is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Territory Manager to join our growing team in the Richmond, Tidewater, and Virginia Beach area. Key Responsibilities:
- Territory to include Richmond and all areas east to Virginia Beach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and acquiring new business opportunities within established territory.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall territory growth and profitability.
- Deliver engaging, solution-oriented sales presentations tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth execution of service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records using CRM tools and provide regular updates on pipeline activity.
Requirements:
- 1 year of sales experience; convenience and foodservice industry experience is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Competitive, goal-oriented mindset with a drive to succeed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation:
- $80,000 per year guaranteed for the first two (2) years of employment.
- Commission will start as soon as Territory produces more than $80,000 in commissions, and commission will be based on 13% of the Territory’s gross profit monthly.
- Mileage reimbursement at a rate of $.38 per mile for the first year of employment. All other travel expenses will be reimbursed according to company’s expense policy.
- Manufacturer SPIF (sales performance incentive funds) will also be paid quarterly depending on offers extended by participating manufacturers. These average at $1,000 per quarter.
