Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to concrete construction, including mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment on construction sites.
Duties
- Digging, preparing the base, and setting up forms (molds) for the concrete to be poured into.
- Using tools like trowels, floats, and edgers to smooth, level, and shape the concrete surface, creating the desired texture and appearance.
- Placing and securing rebar or wire mesh within the concrete for added strength and stability.
- Operating various hand tools, power tools (e.g., power vibrators, saws, polishers, jackhammers), and construction equipment as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including cleaning tools and equipment.
- The job requires physical strength and endurance to perform tasks like lifting heavy materials, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods and punctuality.
- Understanding and carrying out written and verbal instructions from supervisors
- Working effectively with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Essential for tasks like calculating materials and ensuring proper dimensions
Concrete Laborer Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma and GED certificate
· 1 years of concrete or skilled labor experience preferred (will train)
· Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials
· Ability to lift 100 pounds
· Reliable transportation
· Must live locally and provide your own housing
· Minimal travel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
